Desert Detail Prints
This piece is an original block print made of pieces carved for the Desert Details series. The designs blend mid-century simplicity with a Scandinavian folk inspired style. These graphic forms were also translated into beautiful tiles by Crooked Tree Ceramics and turned into a one-of-a-kind backsplash for our kitchen.
Each image is hand-carved into linoleum. The areas around the design are cut away, and the raised surface holds the ink. Every motif is its own block, so the pieces can be rearranged and printed in different compositions.
Each print is pulled by hand with Cranfield ink on Rives BFK Crème paper.
