This is the largest Desert Details print you can get yours hands (so far.) This collects the majority of the blocks featuring Sonoran Desert plants and animals from the series of seven original block prints. The designs blend mid-century simplicity with a Scandinavian folk inspired style. They were first created to be sculpted into tiles for our own kitchen backsplash by Crooked Tree Ceramics.
Each image is hand-carved into linoleum. The areas around the design are cut away, and the raised surface holds the ink. Every motif is its own block, so the pieces can be rearranged and printed in different compositions.
Each print is pulled by hand with Cranfield ink on Rives BFK Crème paper.
Paper Size: 24”H x 24”W
Slight variations in ink and pressure make every print one of a kind.
